The Courtyard to swing with music

Jazz Gitan is back to play its special brand of “le jazz hot” in the Courtyard located behind Zia’s, 312 Main St. in Placerville, on Saturday, Sept. 10, from 3 to 6 p.m.

This jazz trio carries on the tradition of gypsy swing created by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli during the Paris jazz scene during the 1930s and ’40s, plus a cross-section of songs from the modern Gypsy jazz repertoire.

The mix of high energy guitar playing among the players and light hearted banter create an enjoyable musical experience.

Join the group in a special video event and be taken back to an intimate Parisian jazz club of the ’30s.
