Placerville will host 'neighborhood chat'

The Placerville City Council plans to use the last Tuesday of the month for a "neighborhood chat" with constituents from 6 to 8 p.m. at Town Hall, 549 Main St.

Info: Residents who can't attend are invited to submit chat comments to policy makers on the city's website, www.cityofplacerville.org.

Sac City board to take first vote on new budget

The Sacramento City Unified School District board will take an initial vote Thursday on a budget that cuts $28 million from such programs as sports, adult education, libraries and transportation. The board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at Serna Center, 5735 47th Ave., Sacramento.
